The "Voice of Workers After Work, and Fashion for Environmental Protection" contest in 2026 organized by the Trade Union of Industrial Parks and Economic Zones of Dong Thap has just successfully concluded. This is a practical activity in response to Workers' Month 2026, celebrating the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress and World Environment Day (June 5).

The highlight of the contest is the "Environmental Protection Fashion" section. From used plastic bottles, packaging, waste paper or materials that seemed to be discarded after the production process, they become colorful costumes on stage. Not only showing ingenuity and creativity, these unique designs also send a strong message about environmental protection, contributing to spreading a green lifestyle among workers. The contest attracted 28 costumes designed from recycled materials and waste products generated in production and daily life.

Although the preparation time was not much, the teams invested elaborately from ideas, design to performances, bringing products rich in artistry and practical meaning. Each outfit is a separate story about the environment. There are designs inspired by the blue ocean, speaking out about the situation of plastic waste pollution; there are works conveying the message of saving resources, reusing materials; there are also outfits calling on the community to join hands to protect the ecosystem and build a green, clean, and beautiful living environment.

What is precious is that these messages do not come from environmental experts but are expressed by workers who are directly working in factories and enterprises. From familiar materials in daily life, they have proven that environmental protection is not too great, but starts from small actions and awareness of each person. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nhan - Chairman of the Trade Union of Industrial Parks and Economic Zones of Dong Thap - said that the contest not only creates a healthy and useful cultural playground for union members and workers but also contributes to propaganda and raising awareness about environmental protection and building a civilized lifestyle in businesses.

In addition to the fashion competition, the contest also attracted 167 entries to participate in the "Voices of workers after work" competition. The performances praised the homeland, country, Party, Uncle Ho, the tradition of the working class and the spirit of creative labor, contributing to creating a vibrant and cohesive atmosphere among workers.
As a result, the first prize in the "Environmental Protection Fashion" competition belonged to the grassroots Trade Union of Freeview Industrial Co., Ltd. (Vietnam) with the collection "Eternal Loop". From recycled materials, the team built a story about the cycle of resources, emphasizing the message of reuse and sustainable development.

Not only stopping at a competition, the messages conveyed from the stage have contributed to raising environmental awareness among union members and workers. Thereby, encouraging each person to form green living habits, reduce waste, use resources economically and join hands to build a friendly and sustainable working environment.
From costumes made of recycled materials, the contest has shown the creativity, responsibility and pioneering spirit of workers in environmental protection. This is also the greatest value that the program brings: spreading a green lifestyle from the factory to the community.
