On the afternoon of October 9, at My Tho market, the Cao Lanh District Labor Federation (Dong Thap province) held a ceremony to announce the decision to admit union members and establish the My Tho Market Traders Union.
According to the decision, the My Tho Market Traders Union was established with 62 members and a provisional Executive Committee of 3 comrades was appointed, gathering traders with the same business profession at My Tho market, Cao Lanh district.
Through the establishment of the union, to propagate the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union, build civilized markets, implement social security policies and care for and protect the legitimate rights and interests of workers, create cohesion and exchange learning and experiences with each other.
At the announcement ceremony, the leaders of the Cao Lanh District Labor Federation assigned the Executive Committee of the My Tho Market Traders Union to focus on perfecting the operating regulations, building internal solidarity, regularly grasping the aspirations of union members; encouraging and motivating traders to make efforts in their work, improving business efficiency, and promoting the role of protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers.
On this occasion, from social mobilization sources, the District Labor Federation presented 62 gifts to union members.
It is known that previously, the Cao Lanh District Labor Federation established two unions, the My Tho Passenger Motorcycle Union and the Fruit Loading and Unloading Union. It is expected that in mid-October 2024, another Loading and Unloading Union will be established in the enterprise with 100 union members participating.
