In Luong Son district, the Trade Union of the Branch of Viet My Joint Stock Company managing hotels and resorts (located in Lam Son commune) has just been established with 90 members.
Mr. Nguyen The Hung - Chairman of the Luong Son District Labor Federation - said that workers and employees were happy when employees at the company were allowed to join the Trade Union; the establishment of a grassroots trade union aims to promote the role of the Trade Union at the enterprise, as a bridge between employees and employers, thereby building a harmonious, stable and developing labor relationship at the enterprise. Similarly, in Hoa Binh city, after a period of propaganda and mobilization, by mid-October 2024, the City Labor Federation announced the decision to establish a grassroots trade union at HDC GROUP VN Company Limited with more than 100 employees.
Ms. Bui Thi Hien - Chairwoman of the Grassroots Union of HDC GROUP VN Co., Ltd. - said: "The majority of employees at this company are seasonal workers. When the establishment of the grassroots union was announced and disseminated, the company representative informed the employees and guided them to apply to join the union."
"The company's board of directors always cares about the material and spiritual life and employment of employees. The employees' desire to join the Trade Union is completely legitimate and is supported and facilitated by the company's leadership," said Ms. Hien.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Hai - President of the Hoa Binh City Labor Federation - said that HDC GROUP VN Co., Ltd. is a unit specializing in house cleaning and industrial cleaning. After the union was established, the City Labor Federation requested the company's grassroots union to step up propaganda so that union members can grasp the Party's policies and guidelines, the State's laws, as well as labor and union laws. At the same time, pay attention to the material and spiritual life, ensure jobs and income for union members and workers; hope that new union members will actively participate in labor emulation movements, increase productivity and work efficiency.
On October 30, Mr. Hoang Minh Tuan - Head of the Organization and Inspection Department of the Hoa Binh Provincial Federation of Labor said that since the beginning of the year, trade unions at all levels in the province have newly established 18 grassroots trade unions and 2 grassroots trade unions with more than 3,003 workers and laborers.
According to Mr. Tuan, the Hoa Binh Provincial Federation of Labor always hopes that the presence of the Trade Union will better and more effectively care for the material and spiritual benefits of union members, especially employees in companies and enterprises in difficult areas.
“In the coming time, the Provincial Federation of Labor will continue to direct all levels of unions to increase human resources and time for propaganda work to develop union members to establish grassroots unions and trade unions. Review enterprises that do not have a union organization in the province and the number of employees working, especially those in the informal sector” - Head of the Organization and Inspection Department of the Hoa Binh Provincial Federation of Labor informed.
