On October 9, at EZ Rach Gia Company Limited, the Kien Giang Provincial Federation of Labor held a ceremony to announce the decision to admit union members and establish a grassroots trade union (CDCS) of the company under the provincial federation of labor. Mr. Cho Myung Hwan - General Director of EZ Rach Gia Company Limited also attended.
At the ceremony, the Provincial Federation of Labor announced the decision to establish and admit 53 union members to the EZ Rach Gia Company Limited Trade Union. The temporary executive committee of the Trade Union was appointed with 3 members, Ms. Le Thi Hien holds the position of Chairwoman of the Company Trade Union.
At the ceremony, Vice President of the Kien Giang Provincial Federation of Labor Trang Thi Bich Ngoc requested the Executive Committee and the Provisional Inspection Committee of the Trade Union to develop an action plan, assign specific tasks to the Executive Committee members, Inspection Committee members and carry out seal engraving procedures. Union members and employees, together with the Company's Board of Directors, build harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations. Disseminate to union members the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State, resolutions of the superior Trade Union, the Trade Union Law, the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union; the role, functions and tasks of the Trade Union organization; participate in protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and employees; guide union members to participate in emulation movements and production labor.
After 12 months of operation, the provisional Executive Committee of the Trade Union must organize the first term Trade Union Congress according to the provisions of the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union.
Since the beginning of the year, the whole Kien Giang province has promoted and mobilized more than 3,500 union members, establishing 21 grassroots unions with 25 or more workers.
