Attending the program were Ms. Giang Pao My - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Lai Chau Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Le Van Luong - Chairman of Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee along with many leaders of departments, branches and a large number of union members and workers.
Speaking at the program, Mr. Hoang Tho Trung - Chairman of Lai Chau Provincial Labor Federation emphasized that in 2024, under the direct leadership of Party committees at all levels and higher-level trade unions; the coordination of authorities, agencies, enterprises, and trade unions at all levels in the province has achieved many results.
Outstanding activities include developing union members, establishing grassroots unions; patriotic emulation movements and cultural and sports activities to celebrate major national and industry holidays.
On the occasion of the Year of the Dragon, Workers' Month 2024, trade unions coordinated with the authorities, professional peers, and sponsors to organize the program "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Chia Chia" and presented 6,000 gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances, with a total amount of nearly 4 billion VND.
Along with that, the Union Shelter program has supported the renovation and repair of 31 houses for union members' families with housing difficulties, with a total amount of over 600 million VND.
With the motto "All union members and workers have Tet", trade unions at all levels continue to implement many practical and meaningful activities, focusing on the grassroots. The Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor alone has presented over 2,500 gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances, with a total amount of nearly 3 billion VND...
At the program, the organizing committee presented 30 gifts (VND 1.3 million/gift) from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. In addition, the Provincial National Assembly Delegation presented 50 gifts (VND 600,000/gift), and the Provincial Branch of the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development presented 20 gifts (VND 600,000/gift) to union members and workers in difficult circumstances.
At the program "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Dang" and "Tet Trung Tu Tet Market" in 2025, there are 17 booths with many essential goods, ensuring quality. The Provincial Labor Federation also donated 5,000 shopping vouchers (worth 100,000 VND/voucher) to union members and workers in difficult circumstances. The program will take place over 2 days, from January 18 to 19.
