On August 16, Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Trang - Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Kanaan Bao Loc Company Limited (Loc Son Industrial Park, Lam Dong Province) said that the unit had just organized a "Union Meal" for workers.
The event was held to celebrate the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28); the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2). At the program, more than 1,200 workers at the unit enthusiastically attended this meaningful meal.
Ms. Trang said that every day, the company organizes shift meals for workers worth 20,000 VND/meal. To make the "Union Meal" more quality and meaningful, the Union Executive Committee has encouraged the company to increase the shift meal break compared to normal days.
The union also allocated financial resources and mobilized additional resources to organize a "Union Meal" worth 46,000 VND/meal.
In addition to increasing the value of meals by 26,000 VND/meal, we also encourage other units to sponsor dessert fruits and each meal has an additional box of soy milk, said Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Trang.
Ms. Ka B Rem - a garment worker at Kanaan Bao Loc Company Limited shared that she was very happy to attend this "Union Meal". The workers are very grateful for the attention of the company and the Trade Union organization.
In particular, the meal was attended by the Board of Directors, company union officials and leaders of Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation. On this occasion, the Provincial Federation of Labor also presented gifts and supported 10 workers in difficult circumstances, each worth 500,000 VND.
Today's meal is very meaningful, promptly encouraging workers to become more connected with the Trade Union organization, accompanying in building the company to develop, Ms. Ka B Rem expressed.
Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation - Mr. Nguyen Phu Hoang informed that Kanaan Bao Loc Company Limited has 100% Korean capital, specializing in the production of export bags and backpacks.
This company always maintains stable jobs and income and has many preferential policies and welfare for workers.
The trade union here has negotiated and signed a collective labor agreement with many provisions that are beneficial to workers such as: Organizing daily shift meals; periodic health check-ups, occupational disease check-ups; installing more standard toilets and Milk storage rooms... - Mr. Nguyen Phu Hoang said.
