On November 28, Chairman of Cat Tien District Labor Federation, Mr. Phan Ngoc Quang, informed that the unit had just held a conference to summarize union activities in 2024.
“This is also a conference to summarize the activities of the District Trade Union in the 2023-2028 term, preparing for dissolution to establish a new District Labor Federation from December 1,” Mr. Phan Ngoc Quang added.
According to Mr. Quang, by the end of November 2024, the unit had completed the targets and tasks of trade union activities in 2024 assigned by the Lam Dong Provincial Federation of Labor. At the same time, this unit organized many practical and effective activities.
Specifically, the Cat Tien District Labor Federation supported 150 million VND to build a "Union Shelter" for 3 union members in difficult circumstances. Timely visited, supported, and gave 178 gifts to union members in difficult circumstances with nearly 89 million VND.
The unit also disbursed 50 million VND from the Fund for Poor Workers and Civil Servants to 2 union members in difficult circumstances to borrow capital for economic development.
Grassroots trade unions in the district presented 1,474 gifts worth 318 million VND to union members in difficult circumstances.
Along with that, the District Labor Federation coordinated to organize football tournaments, volleyball tournaments and many cultural and sports activities to create a healthy playground for union members.
In particular, grassroots unions have built 8 new "Skilled Mass Mobilization" models and mobilized union members to actively participate in "Green Sunday" activities in building new rural areas...
“The 2024 assessment results show that 100% of grassroots unions have completed their tasks well. Of which, 11 grassroots unions have completed their tasks excellently, accounting for 25%,” said Mr. Phan Ngoc Quang.
The Chairman of the Cat Tien District Labor Federation added that in the 2023-2024 school year, 1 individual was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. Along with that, 1 collective was awarded the Emulation Flag of the Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation.
On this occasion, Cat Tien District Labor Federation awarded Certificates of Merit of the Provincial Labor Federation to 3 collectives and 4 individuals; and also presented Certificates of Merit to 7 collectives and 9 individuals with outstanding achievements in trade union activities in 2024.
