The National Assembly Standing Committee has just issued Resolution No. 1232/NQ-UBTVQH15 on the arrangement of district and commune-level administrative units of Hai Phong City for the 2023-2025 period.
Accordingly, a part of the natural area of 7.27 km2 of Dong Hai 1 ward, Hai An district will be adjusted to merge into Thuy Trieu commune, Thuy Nguyen district.
After adjustment, Hai An district has a natural area of 97.64 km2 and a population of 144,256 people; has 8 wards, including: Cat Bi, Dang Hai, Dang Lam, Dong Hai 1, Dong Hai 2, Nam Hai, Thanh To and Trang Cat.
Dong Hai 1 Ward, Hai An District has a natural area of 2.62 km2 and a population of 25,503 people.
Thuy Nguyen district has a natural area of 269.10 km2 and a population of 397,570 people; Thuy Trieu commune has a natural area of 18.99 km2 and a population of 13,901 people.
Establish Thuy Nguyen City on the basis of the entire natural area of 269.10 km2 and population of 397,570 people of Thuy Nguyen district after adjustment according to regulations.
Arrange and establish commune-level administrative units in Thuy Nguyen City as follows:
Establish Minh Duc ward on the basis of the entire natural area of 16.12 km2 and population of 13,539 people of Minh Duc town.
Establish Hoa Dong ward on the basis of the entire natural area of 6.02 km2 and population of 13,102 people of Hoa Dong commune.
Establish Thien Huong ward on the basis of the entire natural area of 5.76 km2 and population of 12,618 people of Thien Huong commune.
Establish Quang Thanh ward on the basis of the entire natural area of 5.72 km2 and population of 11,110 people of Quang Thanh commune.
Establish Hoa Binh ward on the basis of the entire natural area of 7.11 km2 and population of 14,557 people of Hoa Binh commune...
Establish An Duong district on the basis of the entire natural area of 78.96 km2 and population of 171,227 people of An Duong district after adjustment according to regulations.
Arrange and establish wards in Hong Bang district as follows:
Establish An Hong ward on the basis of the entire natural area of 8.31 km2 and population of 15,381 people of An Hong commune.
Establish An Hung ward on the basis of the entire natural area of 5.48 km2 and population of 15,287 people of An Hung commune.
Establish Dai Ban ward on the basis of the entire natural area of 11.56 km2 and population of 20,857 people of Dai Ban commune.
Merge the entire natural area of 1.05 km2, population of 15,123 people of Ha Ly ward and the entire natural area of 0.43 km2, population of 12,047 people of Trai Chuoi ward into Thuong Ly ward.
After the merger, Thuong Ly ward has a natural area of 2.98 km2 and a population of 47,646 people.
The Resolution clearly states the establishment of the People's Court of Thuy Nguyen City on the basis of inheriting the People's Court of Thuy Nguyen District, Hai Phong City.
Establishment of Thuy Nguyen City People's Procuracy on the basis of inheriting Thuy Nguyen District People's Procuracy, Hai Phong City.
Establish An Duong District People's Court on the basis of inheriting An Duong District People's Court, Hai Phong City.
Establish An Duong District People's Procuracy on the basis of inheriting An Duong District People's Procuracy, Hai Phong City.
This Resolution comes into force from January 1, 2025.
From the effective date of this Resolution, Hai Phong City has 15 district-level administrative units and 167 commune-level administrative units.
