On January 7, Ms. Tran Ngoc Nhu Quynh - Chairwoman of the grassroots Trade Union of First Team Vietnam Garment Co., Ltd. Branch (Loc Son Industrial Park, Lam Dong province) said that the unit has more than 1,200 employees. Of which over 90% are female workers.
The Trade Union here places the focus on representing and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of workers; taking better care of the material and spiritual life of union members; and building a comprehensively strong trade union organization.
Ms. Quynh shared that to achieve this goal, the Trade Union Executive Committee has implemented many synchronous solutions, closely following the situation of the company's branch.
The most special thing is that the trade union proactively proposes to organize dialogues between the Company's Board of Directors and employees. Dialogues are organized periodically annually and unexpectedly when necessary; the dialogue content is summarized by the trade union first, from the opinions of employees.
At the same time, the Trade Union Executive Committee organized negotiations with the Company's Board of Directors to reach agreement and sign collective labor agreements. Many clauses that are more beneficial to workers have been proposed and successfully protected by the Trade Union Executive Committee.
In collective dialogue and negotiation, we are always proactive, preparing accurate and well-founded information, so we have persuaded the Company's Board of Directors to approve better policies and benefits for employees," Ms. Quynh said.
Thanks to promoting the role of the Trade Union organization in dialogue and negotiation, 100% of workers are assigned labor contracts and participate fully in social insurance.
Union members and workers are entitled to many practical policies such as support for gasoline, rent, vocational training support, and support for raising young children. Along with that are policies such as diligence bonuses, labor discipline compliance bonuses, performance bonuses, Tet bonuses...
These welfare policies have encouraged workers to work with higher productivity, quality, and income, increasingly attached to trade unions and companies.
