On January 6, Mr. Nguyen Phu Hoang - Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation - said that in the 2025-2030 term, the trade union organization will focus on improving welfare and caring for the rights of union members and workers.
The goal is that 90% of grassroots trade unions in enterprises and units represent, negotiate and sign collective labor agreements; and at the same time update and manage the collective labor agreement library system of the trade union organization.
To achieve this goal, the trade union identified the breakthrough of the term as strengthening dialogue and improving the quality of collective negotiation, focusing on the contents: Salary, bonuses, working hours - rest, occupational safety and health, value of meals...
These are important policies, associated with the rights of union members and contributing to maintaining harmonious labor relations at enterprises," Mr. Hoang emphasized.
According to Mr. Hoang, in the period 2023-2025, provincial trade union levels have innovated their operating methods, strongly focusing on the grassroots level, taking the needs of workers as the center.
The Trade Union has mobilized businesses to improve shift meals and include this content in collective labor agreements. To date, 105 businesses have adjusted to increase the value of shift meals.
Most businesses guarantee meals from 18,000-25,000 VND, many units supplement nutritional foods to improve workers' health.
To support the grassroots level, the trade union has organized 184 training classes for nearly 24,700 turns of officials on negotiation, dialogue, inspection and supervision skills. Thanks to that, the role of trade union officials has been promoted, and the quality of collective labor agreements has been significantly improved.
The treaties have added many clauses that are more beneficial than legal regulations, bringing practical benefits to workers," Mr. Hoang affirmed.
