On January 14, information from the Lam Dong Provincial Federation of Labor said that in 2025, the unit set a target of establishing 46 new trade unions and grassroots unions. The unit has just announced the establishment of the first grassroots trade union of 2025.
A new grassroots union was established at Lac Duong Transport Cooperative. The unit that mobilized the establishment of this first union was the Lac Duong District Labor Federation.
Mr. Than Trong Toan - Chairman of Lac Duong District Labor Federation - said that in 2025, the unit strives to exceed the target assigned by the province in developing union members and establishing new unions.
With this determination, the unit built and implemented the plan right from the first days of the year. Full-time union officials here were assigned to be in charge of monitoring and mapping out business addresses in each commune and town.
“We have gone to every alley, known every business, surveyed and grasped the situation of salaries and bonuses for workers during the At Ty Tet holiday. This is also the basis for planning to mobilize the establishment of new grassroots unions,” said Mr. Than Trong Toan.
According to Mr. Toan, the Lac Duong Transport Cooperative's grassroots union was established with 30 new members admitted to the Vietnam Trade Union. They are workers working in the management and operation of this cooperative.
The Lac Duong District Labor Federation also decided to appoint a provisional Executive Committee of the Lac Duong Transport Cooperative's grassroots trade union consisting of 6 members. These are people who actively take the lead in the movements and are trusted by the union members here. They are also highly appreciated by the board of directors of this cooperative...
Mr. Pham Dinh Huy - Team Leader of Team 2 - shared that he was very excited to join the union. The union at the company will be a place for employees to place their trust, share and receive support when facing difficulties.
Mr. Pham Dinh Huy expressed: "From now on, our voices will be heard by the union and promptly transmitted to the cooperative's leaders. All parties will understand each other to build a developing cooperative, creating jobs and sustainable income for us."
