Speaking at the conference, Deputy Secretary of Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee Hoang Giang commended the results and achievements of the provincial trade union's work and activities in 2024. The results achieved have made important contributions to the socio-economic development and ensuring national defense and security of the province.
Regarding the 2025 tasks, the Deputy Secretary of Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee pointed out 5 groups of contents that trade unions at all levels need to pay attention to and implement.
In particular, it is necessary to regularly grasp the ideological situation of workers, civil servants and laborers. Focus on grassroots activities, taking the results of caring for and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and laborers as a measure of the effectiveness of union activities.
In addition, continue to innovate emulation movements, focusing on the movement "Good workers, Creative workers", considering emulation work as a driving force, encouraging union members and workers to complete assigned tasks well.
Ms. Thai Thu Xuong - Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor emphasized: Overcoming many difficulties and challenges, in 2024, Lao Cai province's trade unions at all levels achieved and exceeded assigned targets.
Regarding the 2025 task, the theme of activities is "Focusing on developing union members, participating in building a clean and strong Party", Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Thai Thu Xuong suggested that Lao Cai trade unions at all levels continue to research and propose many practical solutions to make the workers' movement and trade union activities more and more effective, affirming and promoting the role of trade union organizations.
On this occasion, Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation awarded collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in trade union activities and emulation movements.
At the same time, launch an emulation movement with the theme "Determination to innovate, actively create, improve labor productivity, work efficiency, save, fight waste, welcome party congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Congress of the Party, Patriotic Emulation Congresses at all levels, and the 11th National Patriotic Emulation Congress".
In 2024, Lao Cai trade unions at all levels supported 40,993 union members and workers in the province with a total amount of over 36.5 billion VND; over 82,000 union members and workers participated in studying and disseminating relevant directives, resolutions, policies and laws; the whole province had 623 initiatives recognized by competent authorities for their influence at the grassroots level, and 11 solution topics were awarded the Creative Labor Certificate by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
Regarding union member development and building a strong union organization, 4,337 new union members have been developed, reaching 144.56% of the plan.
