Implementing the 2026 plan targets and the peak of union member development in Workers' Month, the Trade Union Committee of Industrial Parks of Lao Cai province has proactively implemented many solutions to reach workers.
Identifying union member development as a key task, the unit develops specific plans, coordinates with the Provincial Industrial Parks Authority to work directly with businesses, and propagates the implementation of Directive No. 14-CT/TU of the Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee on establishing Trade Union organizations in enterprises.
At Sunrise YB Joint Stock Company (Southern Industrial Park), the trade union force met, propagated, and mobilized 85 workers to participate in the organization. As a result, 78 people voluntarily wrote applications to join the Trade Union.
To date, the Trade Union Committee of Industrial Parks has developed 870/1,500 union members, reaching nearly 60% of the plan; newly established 5/6 grassroots trade unions, reaching 85% of the target for 2026.
Along with that, the unit guided 2 grassroots trade unions to coordinate with businesses to sign collective labor agreements with many contents that are more beneficial than regulations, such as supporting meals, attendance bonuses, gasoline support, salary for the 13th month, policies for employees who are husband and wife working together at the enterprise.
These results make a practical contribution to celebrating the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress, term 2026 - 2031, and at the same time spreading the role and position of the Trade Union organization in caring for and protecting the rights of workers.
