As part of a series of activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day on September 2 and to welcome the Party Congresses at all levels, the Nghia Lo Ward Trade Union has coordinated with the Son Thinh Market Trade Union to implement a clean water support program for people in difficult circumstances in the area.
With the motto "The healthy leaves cover the torn leaves", the Ward Union and the Union have called for the cooperation of benefactors, mobilizing 60 million VND to build 2 wells for households in Nam Dong 1 and Nam Dong 2 villages.
These are all households that have long had difficulty accessing domestic water sources, directly affecting their health and quality of life.
Previously, the Ward Union conducted a field survey, grasped the needs of the people, and called for social resources. The response of union members, workers in the Union and traders has contributed significantly to the project's rapid completion.
"We are very happy to have the support of Son Thinh Market Union. This project not only brings clean water to the people but also demonstrates the spirit of solidarity and sharing in the community," a representative of the Nghia Lo Ward Trade Union shared at the handover ceremony.
Having a well has helped two households end the lack of domestic water, especially during the dry season. This helps ensure hygiene, protect their health, help them feel secure in developing the economy, and improve the quality of life.
The program is not only a practical gift to celebrate major holidays but also affirms the role and position of trade union organizations in caring for the material and spiritual life of workers, contributing to the overall development of the locality.
