Recently, the Nghia Lo Ward Labor Union has promptly launched a fundraising campaign, calling on cadres, union members, workers and people to join hands to help the family of Thao A Chong - a poor household in especially difficult circumstances in Van Chan commune.
Thao A Chong's family has 11 members, and their lives mainly depend on unstable agricultural production. Recently, the family was compensated for land to build a new house with the hope of having a stable place to live.
However, when the house was still unfinished and the roof had not yet been roofed, Thao A Chong suddenly passed away, leaving behind great pain. The family's circumstances were too difficult, the family could not afford to buy coffins or hold funerals, and was forced to ask relatives to set up a theater elsewhere to arrange the funeral.
Faced with that tragic situation, the Nghia Lo Ward Labor Union quickly grasped the situation, reported to the local Party Committee and government and launched a fundraising campaign.
In a short time, cadres, union members, workers and people have donated 4 million VND. This amount of money was directly given to the family, helping them have the means to prepare for the child's funeral, to ease some of the immediate difficulties.
This meaningful activity demonstrates the affection and responsibility of the Nghia Lo Ward Trade Union towards union members and people; at the same time, affirming the role of the trade union organization in social security work, contributing to stabilizing the lives of people in the area.
In the coming time, the Nghia Lo Ward Trade Union will continue to coordinate with the government and organizations to care for and promptly support difficult cases, widely spread the tradition of "the healthy leaves cover the torn leaves", promoting the spirit of solidarity and sharing in the community.
