On September 17, according to the Ministry of National Defense's Electronic Information Portal, the General Staff has just organized the handover of the status quo of 207 One Member Co., Ltd. (Company 207) from the General Staff Ministry to the 789 Corporation, Ministry of National Defense.
At the conference, the competent authorities gave their opinions on the handover contents; approved the Handover Minutes.
The handover content includes: Functions, tasks; organization, payroll; facilities, technical equipment; production, business results and financial work; tasks in the last 4 months of 2025 and the coming time; along with backlogs that need to be resolved.
The handover was carried out in accordance with regulations, ensuring strictness and comprehensiveness, without affecting production and business activities and defense tasks of the unit.
At the meeting, Senior Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan - Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army - emphasized that the transfer of companies 207 to be under the 789 Corporation demonstrates the strong direction of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense in perfecting the organization of forces, arranging, innovating and improving the operational efficiency of military enterprises.
Senior General Phung Si Tan requested the 789 Corporation to coordinate with relevant agencies and units to urgently complete the receipt; quickly stabilize the organization, inherit the achieved results; have a plan to develop the 207 Company in accordance with the new management model.
At the same time, focus on reviewing, developing and perfecting leadership regulations; perfecting the organization. Closely coordinate with functional agencies and units to build appropriate staffing organization tables, ensuring that production and business activities associated with the unit's defense tasks are conducted stably and effectively.
Senior General Phung Si Tan also suggested that the authorities continue to closely coordinate and create favorable conditions for the 789 Corporation and 207 Company to successfully complete production and business tasks associated with national defense tasks, contributing to building a stable and sustainable military enterprise, maintaining the prestige and brand of the Army in the national economy.
