On October 31, the 1st Nam Dong Ha Ward Trade Union Congress, term 2025-2030, took place with the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development".
Currently, the ward union has 78 grassroots unions with more than 2,500 union members. In the past period, 100% of enterprises with trade unions of 10 or more employees negotiated and signed collective labor agreements, many of which were more beneficial than the law. Outstanding care activities include building 5 new "Union Shelters" worth 200 million VND; "Tet Sum Vay" giving more than 1,000 gifts worth more than 500 million VND; 24 businesses organizing "Union Meals" for 1,358 union members with more than 90 million VND; 46% of businesses with grassroots unions organizing shift meals.
The emulation movement recorded 67 solutions, nearly 500 blood donations; rewarded 50 collectives, 58 individuals. Women's work deploys models " Raising pigs - Giving love", "Studying corners for children of union members", promoting the law and cultural and sports activities to attract a large number of union members.
For the 2025-2030 term, Nam Dong Ha Ward Trade Union aims to develop 200-300 new union members, establish 8-10 grassroots unions; 100% of enterprises with trade unions of 10 or more employees to negotiate and sign agreements; 100% of grassroots union officials receive professional training; build 3 typical models; introduce 15-20 outstanding union members to the Party; coordinate in inspecting and supervising labor laws at 15-20 enterprises.
The two breakthroughs were the digital trade union and the improvement of dialogue and negotiation on wages, bonuses, conditions and working hours.
To do this, the Ward Trade Union will strengthen coordination with state management agencies to inspect and supervise labor laws; guide businesses to organize regular workers' conferences and dialogues; expand welfare, improve the quality of shift meals; promote digital transformation in union member management, operation and communication; develop union members, establish grassroots unions in the non-state sector; train staff; care for gender equality, occupational safety and hygiene; manage public and transparent finances, prioritize resources for caring activities.
At the Nam Dong Ha Ward Trade Union Congress, the decision to appoint members to the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Inspection Committee and hold the position of Chairman, Vice Chairman, and Chairman of the Nam Dong Ha Ward Trade Union Inspection Committee for the 2025 - 2030 term was announced. In which, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Nga - Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward, Chairman of the Ward Trade Union will hold the position of Chairman of the Nam Dong Ha Ward Trade Union for the 2025 - 2030 term; Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoai Nhu - Vice Chairman of the Ward Trade Union will hold the position of Vice Chairman of the Nam Dong Ha Ward Trade Union for the 2025 - 2030 term.
