On January 22, the Quang Tri Provincial Labor Federation said that the grassroots Trade Union of the Vietnam Peace Tree Organization had just organized the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of Trade Union Homes for union members in particularly difficult housing circumstances.
The union member supported is Mr. Ho Van Phin, a field technical staff member of the Vietnam Peace Tree Organization Project. His family is a minority ethnic group, living in a border commune, with extremely difficult economic conditions.
His wife has no stable job, lives at home taking care of young children and elderly parents, with poor health; his mother has had kidney failure for many years.Currently, the family is living in a makeshift house, seriously degraded, not safe.
Faced with that situation, the Social Fund of the Quang Tri Provincial Labor Federation has supported 50 million VND to build a Trade Union Warm House, helping Mr. Ho Van Phin's family have conditions to build a solid house and stabilize their lives.
The activity to support the construction of Trade Union Homes shows the practical concern and care of the Trade Union organization for union members and workers in difficult housing circumstances; thereby contributing to helping union members feel secure in their work and be attached to the unit and Trade Union organization for a long time.
