On January 19, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Bao Lam 1 commune (Lam Dong province) said that the unit had just started construction of the "Great Solidarity" house to support people in difficult housing circumstances in the area.
This activity takes place right on the occasion of the opening of the 14th National Party Congress, bringing practical significance to celebrate the congress.
The house was supported to be built for the family of Mr. Cao Dang Loc (hamlet 11 Loc Ngai, Bao Lam 1 commune), who is in housing difficulty. The total support cost is 60 million VND, mobilized by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Bao Lam 1 commune from philanthropists.
Mr. Cao Dang Loc said that his family is currently living in a wooden house with corrugated iron roof that has deteriorated, leaked, and has no conditions to repair or build a new one.
Every time it rains and winds, the house is damp and cold, and when it is sunny, it is hot. Now that we are supported to build a new house, my family is very happy and grateful to the local authorities and philanthropists," Mr. Loc shared.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Hoai - Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Bao Lam 1 commune, the unit always accompanies local authorities in building new rural areas, especially mobilizing social resources to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for poor households.
In addition to the house supporting Mr. Cao Dang Loc's family, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Bao Lam 1 commune is continuing to mobilize resources to start construction of 2 more "Great Solidarity" houses during the 2026 Binh Ngo Lunar New Year.
Supporting the construction of "Great Solidarity" houses not only helps families stabilize their lives, but also spreads the spirit of solidarity, mutual affection, contributing to ensuring social security in the locality.
