On March 19, the Thai Binh Provincial Government Trade Union held a conference to announce the decisions of the Provincial Federation of Labor (PFF) on the establishment of the Provincial Government Trade Union and its affiliated grassroots trade unions; deploy the content of the Workers' Month activities and some tasks in 2025.
At the conference, the organizing committee announced the decision of the Standing Committee of the Thai Binh Provincial Federation of Labor on the establishment of the Provincial Government Trade Union; the decision on the operating apparatus of the Provincial Government Trade Union; the decision on receiving affiliated grassroots trade unions on the basis of dissolving and terminating the activities of 6 industry trade unions and equivalent from February 28.
Accordingly, the Thai Binh Provincial Government Trade Union officially came into operation from March 1, managing 75 grassroots trade unions with nearly 9,000 union members. However, up to now, due to the merger and division by area, the Thai Binh Provincial Government Trade Union still directly manages 58 grassroots unions with over 8,500 union members.
Chairman of Thai Binh Provincial Federation of Labor Bui Xuan Vinh said that with the motto of streamlining the apparatus but the functions, tasks and effectiveness of trade union activities do not change, Thai Binh Federation of Labor clearly defines the functions, tasks, working relationships, and specific responsibilities of newly established units, ensuring smooth and effective trade union activities. Absolutely not because of the restructuring of the apparatus, the quality and efficiency of trade union activities are reduced, affecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers.
"The Provincial Federation of Labor has also issued the functions and tasks of newly established units; amended and supplemented the working regulations of the Executive Committee, regulations on decentralization of cadre management; working regulations of the Provincial Federation of Labor Party Committee. In addition, the Provincial Federation of Labor also directs the grassroots trade unions to supplement and adjust the annual work program to ensure uninterrupted trade union activities, especially when there are many affiliated grassroots trade unions with many characteristics of industries and fields of activity....", said Mr. Bui Xuan Vinh.
At the conference, leaders of the Thai Binh Provincial Government Trade Union deployed programs and tasks for the year to the grassroots trade unions and hoped that the grassroots trade unions would join hands to continue promoting the achievements over the years to build an increasingly developed Provincial Government Trade Union.
