At the program, Chairwoman of Thai Binh City Trade Union Phi Thi Thanh Huyen said that this is the 8th year that the City Trade Union has organized the program "Tet Sum Vay" to take care of union members and workers on the occasion of Lunar New Year and is one of the activities with practical significance, realizing the policies of the Party, the State and the Trade Union organization for union members and workers on the occasion of Tet and Spring.
Since November 2024, the City Trade Union has developed a plan to direct grassroots trade unions to proactively participate and coordinate with employers to organize practical activities to bring benefits to workers.
Implement the theme "Each Union - One benefit for union members" with key activities such as monitoring the implementation of salary and bonus regimes; promptly detecting and proposing solutions to ensure the rights of employees; propagating and mobilizing union members and workers to celebrate Tet and Spring economically, safely and return to work at the enterprise on time as prescribed.
"In addition, we coordinate with the authorities and professional colleagues to organize many visits and give gifts to union members and workers, focusing on workers who are sick for a long time, have work-related accidents and are undergoing treatment, children with serious illnesses, and families with special policies in difficult circumstances...
During the Lunar New Year, the City Trade Union will present 674 gifts to union members, workers and employees in difficult and extremely difficult circumstances at 44 trade unions with a total amount of nearly 540 million VND" - Ms. Huyen said.
On the same day, Kien Xuong District Trade Union also organized the program "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan An Dang", giving 443 Tet gifts to union members and workers at grassroots trade unions with a total amount of over 354 million VND; allocating 300 vouchers to participate in the "Tet Trade Union Market" of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor with a total amount of 150 million VND.
