On November 6, the Thai Binh City Labor Federation organized a training session on dialogue skills, collective bargaining and collective labor agreement (LCA) development, and deployed a number of key thematic tasks of union work for grassroots unions in the enterprise sector.
The training course was attended by 70 delegates who are Executive Committee members, Inspection Committee members of the City Labor Federation, and key union officials at grassroots trade unions in local enterprises.
At the training course, delegates listened to the staff of Thai Binh City Labor Federation discuss basic contents on dialogue skills, regulations on collective bargaining, collective bargaining agreements; regulations of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on assessing and classifying collective bargaining agreements; methods of determining, developing content, and steps to conduct effective collective bargaining.
Chairwoman of Thai Binh City Labor Federation - Phi Thi Thanh Huyen - said: "In recent years, the City Labor Union has always focused on improving the quality of dialogues and building the Collective Labor Agreement. Because through dialogue, through the contents of the Collective Labor Agreement, it will help the activities of grassroots unions to be better, effectively resolve issues arising in protecting the rights and legitimate interests of workers, while balancing and stabilizing labor relations in enterprises".
Through today's training course, we aim to create a strong change in dialogue and collective bargaining at grassroots trade unions; build, consolidate and enhance the role of grassroots trade unions in focusing resources on dialogue and collective bargaining, making an important contribution to creating sustainable jobs, significantly improving wages, bonuses, working hours, rest hours, shift meals, occupational safety and hygiene for union members and workers, and promoting sustainable development of the unit.
