On November 30, Mr. Pham Viet Dung - Chairman of Thai Nguyen Provincial Federation of Labor - said that, implementing the plan to take care of Tet for union members and employees, the Provincial Federation of Labor will carry out a number of activities such as giving 1,400 gifts worth 500,000 - 700,000 VND/gift at the program "Tet peak week for the poor in 2025"; Visiting and giving gifts to union members and employees in especially difficult circumstances, having work accidents, occupational diseases, lacking or losing jobs; policy families, households affected by natural disasters, storms and floods, poor students in localities in the province.
The highlight is the program "Trade Union Tet Market 2025" scheduled to be held on January 17-19, 2025 in Thai Nguyen city. In the program, Thai Nguyen Provincial Federation of Labor will give away 5,000 vouchers worth VND 200,000/voucher for union members and workers to choose their own items and participate in purchasing support and discounts at Go Thai Nguyen supermarket.
Along with that, the Provincial Federation of Labor will support 500 million VND for units organizing the program "Tet Sum Vay - Tet Union Market 2025"; organize activities to send union members and employees back to their hometowns for Tet, and plan to give 500 gifts, worth 200,000 VND/gift, at the Trade Unions of Industrial Parks, Samsung Electronics Vietnam Thai Nguyen Co., Ltd., TNG Investment & Trading Joint Stock Company, etc.
The Provincial Federation of Labor will transfer 2 billion VND for 4,000 gifts for grassroots unions to take care of union members and workers; spend 60 million VND to visit and give gifts to 20 units and self-managed boarding houses.
"The Thai Nguyen Provincial Federation of Labor also cares about workers in some units and enterprises that have not yet established a Trade Union organization, but have paid the Trade Union fund, the care level is not more than 300,000 VND/person paid in cash" - Mr. Pham Viet Dung said.
