On October 7, Mr. Pham Viet Dung - Chairman of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Federation of Labor (FFL) - said that, implementing the Government's regulations on implementing grassroots democracy, the provincial Federation of Labor has actively directed trade unions at all levels and grassroots trade union executive committees to proactively coordinate with authorities and professionals at the same level to organize conferences of workers, conferences of cadres, civil servants and public employees.
Up to now, 100% of administrative agencies and units have completed organizing conferences for cadres and civil servants; over 85% of enterprises have organized conferences for employees and dialogues at the workplace.
The Provincial Federation of Labor held a conference to evaluate the program of cooperation agreement to improve welfare for union members and workers in 2023. Every year, from 20,000 to 30,000 union members and workers benefit, with an estimated total amount of over 5 billion VND/year.
At the conference, the partners discussed and agreed to maintain 33 signed agreements and sign 5 new cooperation agreements with partners to improve the welfare of union members and workers in 2024.
The Provincial Federation of Labor's capital support fund has been operating effectively. In 9 months, the fund has appraised and disbursed VND13 billion 950 million to 414 union members.
The Provincial Federation of Labor also organized a conference to provide social feedback on the draft Resolution regulating the level of expenditure to ensure the dissemination and education of law, standards of legal access and mediation at the grassroots level in Thai Nguyen province.
After listening to the opinions of the delegates, the Provincial Federation of Labor requested the drafting agency to absorb and edit the contents so that when promulgated, it would ensure compliance with the provisions of the Law on promulgation of legal documents, in accordance with the practical situation of the province, and continue to complete the draft Resolution to submit to the Provincial People's Council for approval.
