On October 16, the Trade Union of Nghi Son Economic Zone and Industrial Zones of Thanh Hoa province held a seminar to celebrate the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union (October 20, 1930 - October 20, 2024) and the 14th anniversary of Vietnamese Women's Day (October 20, 2010 - October 20, 2024).
Attending the seminar were Ms. Trinh Thi Hoa - Permanent Vice President of Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation; representatives of the leaders of the Nghi Son Economic Zone and Industrial Zones Trade Union of Thanh Hoa Province (Nghi Son Trade Union) and a large number of union members and female workers.
At the seminar, delegates reviewed the significance and history of the Vietnam Women's Union's founding day and outstanding activities in women's work of Nghi Son Trade Union.
According to Nghi Son Trade Union, the unit is currently managing 138 grassroots trade unions with 83,425 union members, of which 68,049 are female workers.
Over the years, Nghi Son Trade Union has actively participated in building policies and regimes and inspecting and supervising the implementation of policies and regimes for female workers and children of workers, civil servants and laborers; promoting information and propaganda on policies on female labor, gender equality, population, family and children.
Along with that, pay attention to the work of protecting the legitimate rights and interests of female workers; build and develop many models to better care for the rights of female workers...
At the seminar, Nghi Son Trade Union signed a cooperation agreement on union member welfare program with the Vietnam Potential Awakening Training Company and organized a women's club activity with the theme "Building family happiness and raising children in the 4.0 era".
