Convenient "breast milk pumping and storage room" right at the company
After nearly 6 years of operation, the "Breast milk collection and storage room" model of Dream Plastic Company Limited (Truc Ninh district, Nam Dinh province) has brought practical benefits, directly serving many female employees of the company.
Ms. Pham Thi Huong - Chairwoman of the company's Trade Union said that currently, the number of female employees working at the company is about 3,000 people, of which 2,400 are female employees of childbearing age and 70 are female employees raising young children.
Based on the actual situation, the company's management and union have built a model of "Breast milk collection and storage room" to support female workers when they return to work after maternity leave. For the convenience of female workers, the breast milk collection room is located opposite the medical room and is less than 5 minutes walk from the workers' work area.
“Installing a milking and storage room at the company is one of our company's effective investments to ensure the best life for female workers,” Ms. Huong emphasized.
Taking advantage of her lunch break, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hien (a worker in assembly department A) went down to express milk. Ms. Hien shared: “After giving birth, I went back to work, but because my house was far from the company, I did not go home at noon. Instead, before going to eat, I asked the team leader for a 15-minute break to express milk”. Similarly, at Maxport Limited Viet Nam Co., Ltd. - Nam Dinh Branch, the model of “Breast milk collection and storage room” was also formed to meet and care for female employees who are raising young children...
