Mr. Do Duc Hung - Chairman of Vietnam Electricity Trade Union said that in the period of 2019-2024, despite facing many difficulties due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the world's economic and political crisis; the difficulties of Vietnam Electricity Group, the emulation movements in general and the emulation movement "Good at public work, good at housework" in the Group received enthusiastic response from over 20 thousand female employees in the Group. At the conference, the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union awarded 23 collectives and 50 individuals who have been outstanding in implementing the emulation movement "Good at public work, good at housework" for the period 2019-2024. The movement affirms the important role and position of women, especially female workers, in today's constantly developing society.
At the program, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Ngo Duy Hieu assessed that in recent times, the emulation movement "Good at public work - good at home work" has been systematically implemented by the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union at all levels, well coordinated with the profession to create an environment for women to strive, progress, and see their responsibility in completing professional and family tasks. On the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union and the 75th anniversary of the founding of the Women's Union of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union considered and commended 75 cadres working in the Women's Union. This is an opportunity to honor female cadres at the grassroots level who always closely follow the realities of labor and production to organize and implement emulation movements "Good at public work, good at housework" to contribute and dedicate more to society and family, promote the process of gender equality, and enhance the position of Vietnamese women.
Also on the afternoon of October 11, the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union coordinated with EVN Group to summarize the movement "Men and gender equality".
At the closing ceremony, 9 groups and 18 individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit by EVN Group for their outstanding achievements in the "Men and Gender Equality" movement in 2024.
