Putting workers at the center
On April 23, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) said that in order to organize Workers' Month and Action Month on occupational safety and health in 2026 to achieve the highest and most practical results, the unit has developed and issued a detailed plan beforehand, with many contents and a series of activities aimed at union members and workers.

The activities aim to strengthen class solidarity, consolidate the belief and attachment of union members and workers to the Party, State and Trade Union organization. At the same time, arouse the aspiration to contribute, promote the pioneering role, sense of responsibility and innovation capacity of union members and workers in labor and production.
The programs also aim to improve labor productivity, contributing to the implementation of the province's socio-economic development goals in 2026. In addition, promote solutions to prevent labor accidents and occupational diseases; improve working conditions, ensure safety, health and lives for workers.
Talking to a reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Luong Trong Thanh - Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation said that to ensure smooth and practical activities, the Standing Committee and the Executive Committee of Trade Unions at all levels have proactively advised Party committees, coordinated with the government and employers to organize activities to ensure quality and efficiency.
Mobilizing social resources, especially from employers, will contribute to better care for the material and spiritual lives of union members and workers, creating a spreading effect throughout society," Mr. Thanh emphasized.
Series of activities towards union members
With the theme "Thanh Hoa workers innovate and improve labor productivity" and "Innovate management, improve the efficiency of occupational safety and health in the digital age", the Provincial Labor Federation sets a target of 100% of grassroots enterprise trade unions organizing at least one response activity.

Trade union levels strive for 10% of union members and workers to participate in proposing initiatives and technical improvements; of which, at least 30% of initiatives and models are applied in practice. At the same time, implement a peak month of union member development and establishment of grassroots trade unions, with the goal of admitting at least 8,000 new union members and establishing 40 grassroots trade unions.
Along with that, organize support for building and repairing "Trade Union Shelter" houses for union members in difficult circumstances; support 1,000 or more union members and workers facing difficulties, labor accidents, and occupational diseases. Strive to sign new or re-sign at least 70 collective labor agreements, of which at least 30 are meeting type B standards or higher.
In addition to activities to care for life, trade unions at all levels will organize many key programs such as: launching a peak period of union member development; organizing the "May Dialogue" between provincial leaders and union members and workers; the "Excellent Legal Advisor and Safety and Hygiene Officer" contest in 2026.

In addition, launching the "Worker Cultural Space" model, establishing legal advisory groups; collecting opinions from union members to contribute to building the Vietnam Trade Union in the new era before the 14th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union.
Trade union levels will also strengthen visits to union members and workers in difficult circumstances, who have suffered work accidents and occupational diseases; organize specialist health check-ups for female workers; commend typical workers and reward collectives and individuals with achievements in implementing Workers' Month 2026.
