On April 22, the Quang Tri Provincial Labor Federation said that it had organized a quarterly trade union meeting in the first quarter of 2026 for the grassroots trade union clusters of Le Thuy, Cam Hong, Truong Phu, Le Ninh, Quang Ninh, Ninh Chau, Truong Ninh, and Truong Son communes.
The cluster has 45 grassroots trade unions with 2,260 union members, of which women are 1,215 people, accounting for 54%.
In the first quarter, grassroots trade unions implemented many practical and widespread activities, which were recognized by Party committees and authorities. The work of caring for, representing, and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers was emphasized. Labour relations were basically stable and harmonious.
During the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026, units presented 190 gifts with a total budget of 177 million VND; supported the construction of 1 new "Trade Union Shelter" house worth 50 million VND. In the quarter, 1 new grassroots trade union was established, and 75 union members were admitted.
At the conference, delegates focused on discussing and sharing experiences, and pointed out difficulties and obstacles in implementing tasks at the grassroots level.
Speaking to direct, Comrade Nguyen The Lap, Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation, thoroughly grasped the key contents in 4 programs to implement 3 breakthroughs of the Provincial Trade Union Congress for the 2025-2030 term.
At the same time, orienting tasks for the second quarter of 2026: effectively organize Workers' Month and Action Month on occupational safety and health; continue to care for and protect the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members; promote propaganda of the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State; develop union members, establish grassroots trade unions; participate in building a strong Party and government.
On this occasion, the Provincial Labor Federation awarded Certificates of Merit from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Provincial Labor Federation to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in trade union activities in 2025.
