On April 11, the Go Cong City Labor Federation (Tien Giang Province) held a meeting of the Executive Committee to expand and summarize the movement of workers, civil servants, and laborers (CNVCLD), union activities in the first quarter and deploy directions and tasks for the second quarter of 2025.
In the first quarter of 2025, most units and enterprises in Go Cong City will have a 13th month salary bonus, a diligence or seniority bonus for workers, with the lowest level being 2.7 million VND and the highest being 28 million VND/person. The total bonus is over 35 billion VND for more than 5,000 employees during the 2025 Lunar New Year.
With the motto "All union members and employees have Tet", the Go Cong City Labor Federation organized the "Tet Sum Vay, Xuan On Party" program for 150 employees attending, giving 130 gifts to workers in difficult circumstances, with a total value of 91 million VND. At the same time, organized a lucky draw to win 35 gifts such as refrigerators, TVs, steam fans... worth 55 million VND from the mobilization source. Support 150 union members to participate in the "Union Tet Market" on e-commerce platforms.
In addition, 5 enterprises with grassroots trade unions organized the program " Welcoming Tet with workers", providing allowances for 285 workers in difficulty with a total amount of over 142.5 million VND; organized lucky draws with 127 gifts, with a total value of 207 million VND from the employer's mobilization and support sources. At the same time, he visited and presented gifts to 100 workers with serious illnesses and in especially difficult circumstances, each person received a gift and 1 million VND in cash, for a total cost of 66.3 million VND.
Go Cong Trade Unions at all levels also visited 434 union members with an amount of 73.5 million VND; supported and provided capital of 1.644 billion VND to 299 cases. Coordinated with CEP microfinance Corporation - My Tho branch to disburse VND 730 million to 28 people. Caring for and supporting Tet gifts for union members, policy families receiving sponsorship, and employees at units with an average of 200,000 - 300,000 VND/gift; in total, grassroots unions presented 6,709 union members with a total amount of 1.677 billion VND.
In parallel with the care work, the Go Cong City Labor Union has developed 408 union members, bringing the total to 6,836. 38 outstanding union members have been introduced to the Party for admission, resulting in 23 comrades being admitted to the Party.
Speaking at the conference, Chairman of the Tien Giang Provincial Federation of Labor Le Minh Hung suggested that Go Cong City's trade unions at all levels continue to perform well their representative function and care for union members and workers, especially during the Workers' Month 2025. At the same time, it mobilizes employees to promote initiatives, improve techniques, and apply them to production in enterprises, contributing to affirming the role and position of the Trade Union organization.
On this occasion, authorized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Chairman of the Tien Giang Provincial Federation of Labor Le Minh Hung presented a certificate of merit from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to the Long Chanh Ward Trade Union for its outstanding achievements in the emulation movement "Good at public work, good at housework".
The Tien Giang Provincial Federation of Labor also awarded certificates of merit to 1 collective and 12 individuals with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement for good labor, creative labor and building a strong Trade Union organization in 2024.
