HCMC - District 4 Labor Federation, HCMC coordinated to organize the "Skilled Workers in the Shoe and Leather Industry" Contest to improve professional qualifications and train vocational skills for workers.

On September 26, the District 4 Labor Federation, Ho Chi Minh City coordinated with the District 4 People's Committee to organize the 7th "Skilled Workers in the Leather Shoe Industry of District 4" Contest in 2024. The contest had 44 contestants (divided into 22 teams) from inside and outside District 4.

Candidates take a theoretical exam on basic knowledge of professional skills, knowledge of labor law; Labor Safety and Hygiene Law; rights and obligations of employees and employers in labor protection, labor safety and hygiene and fire prevention.

In the practical part, each team of 2 people will perform the steps of molding, assembling the sole, decorating, and finishing the product to complete a pair of finished shoes for men (number 40 - 41) or women (number 37 - 38) within 90 minutes.

The contest aims to contribute to improving professional qualifications and training skills for workers at enterprises and shoe and leather manufacturing facilities in District 4, meeting the growing needs of businesses.

At the same time, raise awareness among union members, employees and people in District 4 about the cultural values ​​of traditional occupations so that they can work together to preserve and promote the traditional shoe and leather industries of the district.
