100% of female workers are covered by Social Insurance and Health Insurance

Hanoi - On November 21, the Hanoi Construction Trade Union said that up to now, 100% of female workers have signed labor contracts and are covered by social insurance and health insurance.

88/91 Trade Unions of enterprises in the industry have signed Collective Labor Agreements, reaching 96.7%. Of these, 61 Collective Labor Agreements have policies and regimes more favorable than the law for female workers, accounting for 67%. 56 units have included regulations on preventing and combating sexual harassment in the workplace in their internal labor regulations.

The Hanoi Construction Trade Union has made some innovations in propaganda, mobilization and care for female workers. One of them is that over 90% of grassroots trade unions organize propaganda to over 95% of female union members, workers, civil servants and laborers with diverse and practical contents and forms suitable to the characteristics of the unit and enterprise such as integrating at meetings and professional conferences; propaganda on social networks such as Zalo, Facebook, opening talks via Zoom... This innovation is suitable for women who work in a decentralized manner.

The above activities, along with cooking and flower arrangement competitions, organized according to the conditions of each grassroots union, have created opportunities for female union members, workers and civil servants to exchange, learn, improve their understanding and better understand the activities of the women's union and social activities. Thereby, the women actively participate in effectively implementing patriotic emulation movements, arousing compassion, spreading love, building happy families...
