For more than two weeks, Vo Chi Cong Street (Hanoi) has been installed with a hard median strip to reorganize traffic flow, separating 3 lanes for cars, the remaining 2 lanes for mixed traffic.
This measure is expected to contribute to reducing traffic conflicts, enhancing safety and improving traffic efficiency on the main route connecting the western area with the center of the capital.

Recorded on the morning of July 1, the number of vehicles passing through this road was very large, causing a long traffic jam.
Notably, in the mixed lane, many times cars almost "oc occupy" the road, motorcyclists have to struggle to move, even climbing the sidewalk to escape congestion.
There is currently no official announcement from the authorities about traffic regulation on this road.
According to records, there are still many items serving the traffic diversion plan that are not complete, such as signs, dragon fruit prices, median strips, etc.
Mr. Thanh Nguyen (Ha Dong ward, Hanoi) said that this morning (July 1), he had to go from his home to Vo Chi Cong Inter- transportation area, however, the travel time was double compared to before.
"Starting from Xuan La intersection towards Nhat Tan bridge, there was a long traffic jam, motorbikes struggled to move. Not to mention many people park their cars in a mixed lane, so many times when they want to take a motorbike up, there is no way out," Thanh Nguyen shared.
According to some people who regularly travel on this road, since the installation of the median strip, traffic jams have occurred more frequently, partly because many people are not used to the new way of transportation.
At the same time, people also hope that relevant authorities will soon have a reasonable traffic diversion plan and a form of handling for violations, such as stopping, driving in the wrong lane or turning around in the wrong place.
