On October 18, the Hanoi High-Tech Parks and Industrial Parks Trade Union held its first Congress for the 2025-2030 term. Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Xuan Hung attended.
Opening the Congress, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Thang - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Chairman of the Trade Union of High-Tech Parks and Industrial Parks emphasized: The Congress is a milestone of special significance, marking a new step of maturity of the workers' movement and trade union activities in high-tech parks and industrial parks, contributing to concretizing the policies of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Hanoi City Labor Federation in building and consolidating a strong Trade Union organization from the grassroots.

The Congress took place in the spirit of "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development", with the task of assessing the situation of workers and trade unions in high-tech parks and industrial parks in Hanoi City; determining goals, targets, and directions for the 2025-2030 term; giving opinions on the draft documents of the 18th Hanoi City Trade Union Congress; giving opinions on amending and supplementing the Charter of Vietnam Trade Union; at the same time, recommending to the Party and State on major issues related to the working class and trade union organizations in the new situation.
The delegates discussed tasks, solutions, and directions for activities to achieve the general goals set by the Congress for the 2025-2030 term.
That is: "Innovating the content and methods of operation, focusing on performing well the function of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers; building a team of intellectual, brave, dedicated, and responsible union officials; building a strong union organization as a reliable support for workers and the whole country to enter the "New era - the era of rising up to develop richly and prosperously of the Vietnamese people".
The Congress also agreed on 6 specific targets and 3 breakthroughs: Building a team of grassroots union chairmen with intelligence, courage, enthusiasm, responsibility, innovative thinking, flexibility, creativity, meeting the requirements of tasks; Promoting dialogue and collective bargaining, focusing on employment, wages, and occupational safety and hygiene; Focus on developing union members and establishing grassroots unions in non-state enterprises.
Speaking at the Congress, Vice President of the Hanoi City Labor Federation Nguyen Huy Khanh suggested that immediately after the Congress, the Trade Union of High-Tech Parks and Industrial Parks should promptly deploy propaganda and develop an action program to implement the Congress Resolution.
Well perform the function of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers. Participate in giving opinions and developing legal policies, especially issues directly related to employees; guide and support grassroots trade unions in negotiating, signing and supervising the implementation of collective labor agreements; dialogue at the workplace.
At the Congress, the Appointment Decisions were also announced, in which Mr. Nguyen Dinh Thang - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the Trade Union of Hanoi High-Tech Parks and Industrial Parks.
