The tournament has the participation of 17 football teams from the Labor Federations of districts, towns, industry unions, and grassroots unions, ensuring compliance with the criteria and regulations in the Tournament Charter.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Pham Quang Thanh - Member of the Presidium of the VGCL, Chairman of the Hanoi Labor Federation - said that with the role of representing, protecting the rights, taking care of the material life for union members, workers, the Capital Union levels also focused on improving the spiritual life, taking care of physical health for workers. Therefore, over the past time, the Hanoi Labor Federation has directed the Capital Trade Union levels to regularly organize cultural, arts and sports activities in accordance with the forte, meeting the wishes of union members and workers. In particular, the football tournament of workers, officials and laborers of the Capital Labor Newspaper Cup is a prominent activity directly directed by the City Labor Federation, assigning the tasks to the Capital Labor Newspaper and the City Labor Propaganda Department to coordinate the annual annual organization.
According to Mr. Nguyen Van Binh - Editor-in-Chief of Lao Dong Newspaper, Head of the Organizing Committee, in 2025, 10 years of organization, the Football Tournament for Workers, Civil Servants, and Laborers of the Capital Labor Newspaper Cup will take place on a larger scale and form, with many innovations.
As soon as the Organizing Committee implemented the Plan from mid-February 2025, most of the Labor Federations of districts, towns, industry unions, and grassroots unions actively and enthusiastically participated in the tournament through organizing tournaments at the grassroots level to select excellent teams or recruiting and introducing teams with extensive professional experience at the grassroots level to register to participate in the City tournament.
The award structure includes: 1 First prize is awarded a Cup, Flag, Gold Medal, 20 million VND bonus; 1 Second prize is awarded a Flag, Silver Medal, 15 million VND bonus; 1 Third prize is awarded a Flag, Bronze Medal, 10 million VND bonus, 1 Fourth prize is awarded a Flag and a bonus of 5 million VND.
