This is a source of funding taken from the Social Fund of the City Labor Federation along with contributions from cadres, civil servants, and employees of the City Labor Federation Agency.
Previously, responding to the call of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the City Labor Federation launched a fundraising campaign to support people in disaster areas. At the program, all cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers contributed at least one day's salary to share difficulties with people in severely affected localities.
Speaking at the Program, Mr. Le Dinh Hung - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Permanent Vice President of the Hanoi City Confederation of Labor said that the City Confederation of Labor has directed Trade Unions at all levels, from communes, wards, Trade Unions of Industrial Parks, High-Tech Parks to grassroots Trade Unions to widely implement activities to mobilize union members and workers to participate in support. The spirit of "Mutual love and support", "Hanoi for the whole country - Hanoi with the whole country" is strongly promoted, becoming a driving force to spread affection and community responsibility.
The donated resources are received, managed and compiled according to the principles of publicity, transparency, timeliness, and compliance with the instructions of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City. The entire amount of contributions will be transferred to the "Rescue" Fund of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City ( account number: 1500201113838, at Agribank Hanoi Branch), to provide emergency support for people in flooded areas to soon overcome difficulties, restore production and stabilize their lives.
The City Labor Federation also requests the Trade Unions of communes and wards; Trade Unions of Industrial Parks and High-Tech Parks; Trade Unions of Corporations and affiliated grassroots Trade Unions to regularly update support results, and send periodic reports before 4:00 p.m. daily to the City Labor Federation through the Trade Union Working Committee for timely synthesis.
Activities to support people in disaster areas once again affirm the role of the Capital Trade Union in the political system, not only as a support for workers but also a positive force in humanitarian and charitable movements. The affection, responsibility and synchronous participation of Hanoi Trade Unions at all levels contribute to spreading the spirit of solidarity, helping people in flooded areas to be more stable and soon stabilize their lives after natural disasters.
