The working session took place on the afternoon of November 26 at the Hanoi City Labor Federation Headquarters under the chairmanship of Mr. Le Dinh Hung - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Permanent Vice President of the Hanoi City Labor Federation. Also working was the leader of the Trade Union Working Committee.
Permanent Vice President of the City Labor Federation Le Dinh Hung expressed his pleasure at welcoming the delegation of the Shanghai General Confederation of Labor to visit and work in Hanoi, and at the same time provided an overview of the city's socio-economic situation and outstanding results of the Capital Trade Union in recent times.
Accordingly, implementing the Party and State's policy on streamlining the apparatus as well as the direction of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Hanoi Party Committee and the City Labor Federation have completed the arrangement and termination of the activities of 45 Trade Unions at the grassroots level. Currently, the City Labor Federation directly manages more than 6,300 grassroots unions with over 630,000 union members.
One of the outstanding activities is to care for union members' lives in a profound and practical manner with more than 900,000 workers supported, with a total cost of over 388 billion VND; 31 newly built and repaired Trade Union Shelters; more than 200,000 "Union Meals" organized in industrial parks...
Patriotic emulation movements such as "Creative Labor", " good Workers in the Capital" have been effectively maintained, arousing the spirit of initiative and technical innovation among the working class, contributing significantly to the socio-economic development of the City.
At the meeting, the two sides exchanged experiences on developing union members, building a strong union organization, a model for managing union members in the informal sector, training of union officials, methods for caring for the lives and improving vocational skills for workers, and applying digital transformation in union activities.
The leaders of the Hanoi City Labor Federation expressed their hope that the Shanghai City General Confederation of Labor would continue to strengthen comprehensive cooperation, focusing on contents such as delegation exchanges, sharing experiences in modern inspection processes, applying digital technology in supervision; organizing thematic seminars; sharing information, documents... to contribute to building an increasingly transparent and professional Trade Union organization.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Wang Houfu - Secretary of the Party Committee of the Shanghai City Trade Union Management College expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome of the Hanoi City Labor Federation; and congratulated the outstanding results of the Capital Trade Union, especially in the work of arranging and perfecting the organizational apparatus.
The meeting contributed to enhancing understanding and tightening cooperation between the Trade Union organizations of the two major cities of Vietnam and China, opening up many practical coordination opportunities in the coming time.
