On December 8, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in coordination with the International Labor Organization (ILO) and the Tuyen Quang Labor Federation organized a Media Forum on "Prevention and reduction of child labor for workers".
Attending and directing the program were Ms. Tran Thu Phuong - Deputy Head of the Women's Union of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Ms. Hoang Thi To Linh - Coordinator of ILO; Standing members of the Provincial Federation of Labor; representatives of the Provincial Women's Union, the Provincial Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and 300 union members and workers.
At the program, the trainees were shared by expert Nguyen Thi Minh Huong - lecturer of Vietnam Youth Academy about the concept of child labor, the current situation and harmful effects of child labor today.
The program also included many interactive activities such as quizzes, the game "Who is faster", watching the skit "Now I understand" and performances on child protection.
The forum spread the message of ending child labor, especially heavy and hazardous work. This is a practical activity to raise awareness and promote actions to protect children. Create conditions for children to develop comprehensively in a safe and healthy environment, towards an increasingly civilized society.
