Conditions for teachers to receive the Medal "For the Cause of Education

Article 10 of Circular 07/2026/TT-BGDĐT detailing the implementation of a number of articles of the Law on Emulation and Commendation and Decree No. 152/2025/ND-CP stipulates as follows:

The Medal "For the Cause of Education" (hereinafter referred to as the Medal) is a form of commendation from the Ministry of Education and Training to be awarded once to individuals within and outside the Education sector who have made many contributions to the cause of education and training, including:

1. Individuals working in the Education sector for 20 years or more.

In case an individual working in the Education sector is sent to study or perform military service, and then continues to work in the Education sector, the time spent studying or performing military service is counted as the time working in the Education sector for consideration of awarding the Medal. The time the individual is disciplined is not counted for consideration of awarding the Medal.

The time the individual worked in the Education sector in areas with particularly difficult socio-economic conditions according to the Prime Minister's regulations is multiplied by a coefficient of 2 when calculating working time for consideration of the Medal.

Thus, teachers who want to receive the Medal "For the Cause of Education" need to meet the above conditions.
