Today (September 6), there will be two semi-final matches at the 2025 Women's Volleyball World Championship.
The Japanese team will play their first semi-final against Türkiye at 3:30 p.m. The last time the Japanese team entered the semi-finals was 15 years ago, in 2010. Therefore, this team is determined to win and enter the top 4 best teams of this year's tournament in Thailand.
The Japanese team is the remaining representative of Asian women's volleyball at the 2025 World Championship. Therefore, Asian volleyball fans in general will cheer for this team to compete in the semi-final match.
This is the first time the Turkish team has reached the semi-finals of the World Championship. The team currently has the top hitters in Europe and the world, so it is worth having better expertise than its Japanese opponent.
The second semi-final will take place at 7:30 p.m. between Italy and Brazil. This is an early final match in this year's tournament. Italy is currently holding the world No. 1 position while Brazil is in 2nd place. Italy won the championship in 2002, while Brazil has not had this result. In 2023, the Brazilian team played in the final but only won the runner-up position.
