According to the draw results, Group B of the AFF Cup 2024 includes Vietnam, Indonesia, Myanmar, Philippines and Laos.
In this group, the Vietnamese team won the Southeast Asian championship twice in 2008 and 2018. Meanwhile, the remaining teams have never won the AFF Cup.
Vietnam and Indonesia are considered two strong candidates for a semi-final ticket in this year's tournament. However, the Philippines and Myanmar have also made positive changes in terms of expertise, promising to create difficulties for their opponents.
As for the Vietnamese team, coach Kim Sang-sik and his team will face Laos on December 9 (away), Indonesia on December 15 (home), the Philippines on December 18 (away) and Myanmar on December 21 (home).
