Mr. Tran Van Chinh - Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City - attended and directed the Congress.
During the past term, the My Quoi Ward Fatherland Front Committee and its member organizations have focused on promoting propaganda, mobilization, gathering all classes of people, strengthening social consensus, and promoting the great national unity bloc. Social supervision and criticism work has been improved, contributing to the implementation of democracy, building a strong Party, State and political system.
The ward Front has innovated the organizational apparatus, improved the team's capacity, effectively implemented emulation movements and campaigns such as "All people unite to build new rural areas, civilized urban areas", "The whole country joins hands for the poor", "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods".
In particular, socialization work has achieved outstanding results, building 8 rural traffic bridges with a total cost of 3.5 billion VND; lighting projects on rural roads with a cost of 300 million VND; building and repairing 218 solidarity houses, a total amount of 11.4 billion VND; supporting households affected by tornadoes with more than 1 billion VND; giving gifts to poor households during holidays and Tet over 1 billion VND. In particular, the "For the Poor" fund was mobilized with nearly 1 billion VND.
Speaking at the congress, Mr. Tran Van Chinh suggested that the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of My Quoi ward continue to innovate people's activities, promote the role of prestigious people, propagate and mobilize people to implement the policies and guidelines of the Party and State, contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the Ward Party Congress for the 2025 - 2030 term.
Movements and campaigns on building new rural areas, civilized urban areas, sustainable poverty reduction, developing high-tech agriculture, tourism and the collective economy have been effectively implemented. Activities to support poor households, remote areas, ethnic minorities and the Great Unity Festival were expanded.
Social supervision, criticism, and participation in Party and government building have been strengthened. The Front promotes grassroots democracy, builds a self-management model, improves the organization, improves the capacity of cadres, and meets the requirements of tasks in the new situation.

The Congress has unanimously nominated 52 members of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of My Quoi Ward for the 2025 - 2030 term, of which Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Nhung was elected as President by the Congress.
On this occasion, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City awarded 15 scholarships to poor students who overcome difficulties to study well; My Quoi Ward People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 3 groups and 7 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the emulation movement in the period of 2020 - 2025.
