On the afternoon of January 25, the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ngai Tu commune (Vinh Long province) held a ceremony to hand over the "Rear Shelter" house to soldier Pham Hoang Nguyen, who is currently performing military service at Engineer Brigade 25, Military Region 9.
The house is built solidly and spaciously with an area of more than 40m2, with a total cost of 63 million VND. The funding is mobilized by nun Thich Nu Nhu Van - Abbot of Phuoc Son Pagoda (Tam Binh commune) from the "Three Main Roads" group in Ho Chi Minh City.
At the ceremony, local authorities and philanthropists presented many gifts to congratulate the family on having a new place to live, and at the same time cordially visited and encouraged the family to soon stabilize their lives, creating conditions for soldier Pham Hoang Nguyen to feel secure in training and successfully completing his military service.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Le Hoang Hai - Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ngai Tu commune - said that supporting the construction of "Rear Home" houses for soldiers in difficult circumstances is a practical activity, showing the concern of Party committees, authorities and local people for military rear work.
Mr. Le Hoang Hai also respectfully thanked Nun Thich Nu Nhu Van and philanthropists for joining hands to share, contributing to spreading the spirit of compassion and solidarity in the community.
This meaningful activity is aimed at the 2026 Military-Civilian Tet, contributing to tightening military-civilian solidarity, and at the same time continuing to spread the spirit of "mutual affection", taking care of difficult circumstances during the upcoming Tet.
