On November 3, the Dong Thap Provincial Labor Federation coordinated with the Board of Directors of Agribank Sa Dec branch, Dong Thap province to organize the handover of the Charity House to Mr. Pham Trong Khiem, a union member of Lai Vung Garment Company Limited (Song Hau Industrial Park, Lai Vung commune, Dong Thap province). Mr. Khiem is a subject with housing difficulties. Attending the ceremony were Mr. Pham Van Tuan Tam - Chairman of the Lai Vung Commune Trade Union, Dong Thap Province; Ms. Le Thuy Thanh Tam - Head of the Accounting and Finance Department of Agribank Sa Dec Branch and Mr. Pham Trong Khiem's family.
After 2.5 months of construction, Mr. Pham Trong Khiem's house with an area of 70m2 (5m wide, 14m long) has a wall structure, corrugated iron roof, cotton brick lining, the house started construction in August 2025 with a total glass fee of 205 million VND. Of which, Agribank Sa Dec branch supported 50 million VND. The rest was the family's savings and support from Mr. Pham Trong Khiem's relatives. This is not only a practical activity to eliminate temporary houses, contributing to the implementation of local social security goals, but also demonstrates the concern of Party committees, authorities and the cooperation of benefactors to spread the spirit of humanity and sharing with the poor.
On behalf of the family, Mr. Pham Trong Khiem expressed his joy and emotion at the attention of the Provincial Labor Federation and the Board of Directors of Agribank Sa Dec branch to union members in difficult circumstances. At the same time, he affirmed that this is a great source of encouragement for him, her sister and her family to have more motivation to overcome difficulties, strive to improve their lives, and complete assigned tasks well.
