On March 9, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Khanh Hoa province organized a meeting between voters and candidates for the 16th National Assembly in many localities in the province.
At the conference, Mr. Nghiem Xuan Thanh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, candidate of constituency No. 1 - presented his action program.
Mr. Thanh said that being consulted and introduced to run for National Assembly deputies in Khanh Hoa is a great honor, and also a heavy responsibility to the Party Committee, government and people in the province.
With a professional background as a PhD in economics, plus more than 30 years of working in the field of finance - banking and local leadership experience, he wishes to have the conditions to contribute more to the process of building and perfecting the legal system, especially in the fields of economy, finance, budget, investment and land.
According to Mr. Nghiem Xuan Thanh, the responsibility of a National Assembly deputy is to represent the will and aspirations of the people.
Therefore, if he is trusted by voters to be elected as a National Assembly Deputy of the 16th term, he commits to implementing the motto "close to the people, close to the people", maintaining close contact with voters.
In his position as Secretary of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Nghiem Xuan Thanh said that he will promote his role as a National Assembly delegate to strongly promote the development of the locality.
In which, the province will prioritize taking advantage of resources from the Central Government to invest in transport infrastructure and key projects, creating development momentum for Khanh Hoa.
In parallel with that, it is to continue to promote administrative reform, promote digital transformation, and build a transparent and favorable investment environment to attract domestic and foreign businesses to invest and do business in the locality.
Mr. Thanh also oriented Khanh Hoa's development towards sustainability, focusing on strengths such as industry, green and clean energy, high-quality tourism, smart city development and high-tech agriculture associated with environmental protection.
These areas are expected to create more jobs, improve income and quality of life for people.
Besides economic development, his action program also emphasizes taking care of social security.
Accordingly, he will propose policies to improve the quality of education and healthcare, ensuring that all people have the opportunity to access essential public services with increasingly better quality.
Sustainable poverty reduction, especially in remote and isolated areas and ethnic minority areas, is also identified as an important task.
He also pledged to strengthen supervision, resolutely fight against corruption, wastefulness and negativity to consolidate people's trust in the Party and the government apparatus at all levels.
According to Mr. Nghiem Xuan Thanh, the long-term goal is to contribute to realizing the major policies of the Party, especially Resolution 09 of the Politburo on developing Khanh Hoa; making Khanh Hoa a centrally-run city by 2030, with a vision to 2045.
He affirmed that National Assembly deputies must be loyal to the Fatherland, dedicated to serving the people, matching words with deeds and maintaining the qualities and ethics of cadres.
