Standing Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh has just signed Decision No. 398/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister approving the results of the election of the position of Vice Chairman of Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee.
According to the above decision, the Prime Minister approved the election results for the position of Vice Chairman of Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term for Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Thien - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Sa Dec ward.
The above decision takes effect from March 7, 2026.
Previously, on February 27, 2026, at the 9th Session, delegates of the Dong Thap Provincial People's Council conducted a secret ballot to elect the title of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.
As a result of the election, Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Thien - Provincial Party Committee member, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Sa Dec ward was elected to the position of Vice Chairman of Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.
Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Thien was born in 1978, holds a PhD, Senior in political theory.
Mr. Thien used to hold the positions of Deputy Head of the Economic - Social Department of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee Office; Vice Chairman of Cao Lanh City People's Committee; Deputy Director and then Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (old); former Vice Chairman of Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee from January 2023; Secretary of Sa Dec City Party Committee from February 2025 and Secretary of Sa Dec Ward Party Committee from July 1, 2025 to present.
