Earlier, on the same morning, President Do Van Chien and the delegation visited the headquarters of the Vietnamese Embassy in Seoul and met with officials and staff of the Embassy, representatives of the Vietnamese community living and working in Korea, including the Ly Hoa Son family.
At the reception, Vietnamese Ambassador to Korea Vu Ho reported to the delegation on the situation in the area and the Vietnamese community in Korea, highlighting the continuous growth of the community as well as the central role of Vietnamese diplomatic missions in the host country.
Ambassador Vu Ho said that, thoroughly implementing the motto of solidarity as strength, the Embassy has been diversifying forms of community gathering, developing and consolidating associations of Vietnamese people in Korea. The Embassy will continue to strengthen coordination with domestic authorities, Korean authorities, and Vietnamese associations in Korea to quickly resolve problems and not leave gaps, with the motto "wherever there are Vietnamese people, there are associations" to build a strong Vietnamese community in Korea, continue to contribute more to the two countries and to the Vietnam - Korea Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
Leaders of Vietnamese associations in Korea said that they have actively organized community connection activities, promoted Vietnamese culture and contributed to promoting cultural exchanges between the two countries, thereby contributing to promoting the community to always return to the homeland, increase mutual support in life, preserve the cultural beauty of the Vietnamese people and the nation.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman Do Van Chien emphasized the achievements that the country has achieved as well as shared about the "pint rearrangement" revolution that the Party, Government and people are implementing; at the same time, once again reaffirmed Vietnam's consistent policy towards compatriots far from home: "The Party, State and people of Vietnam highly value the Vietnamese people living and working abroad, considering them an inseparable part, the blood of the Vietnamese people".
Also on August 2, Chairman Do Van Chien and the high-ranking delegation of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front received the Ly family and leaders of Bonghwa district in Gyeongsang Bac province, Korea, to listen to an introduction to the Vietnam village project.
Chairman Do Van Chien highly appreciated the ideas and activities that Bonghwa district is implementing in the Vietnam village project and said that the construction of Vietnamese villages has great significance not only in history, culture but also in tourism. Mr. Do Van Chien made a number of proposals to make the project effective and attract more and more Korean people who love Vietnam as well as Vietnamese tourists to visit.
Mr. Do Van Chien also had a working session with the Vietnam - Korea Business & Investment Association (VKBIA). The delegation attended the opening ceremony of the Vietnam - Korea Exhibition Center Office, and visited the Vietnam - Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space Corner in Korea.
The ceremony took place solemnly with the participation of a high-ranking delegation of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, witnessed by representatives of local governments in the host country, representatives of the leaders of the Korea Fund and a number of businessmen, experts, and the Vietnam - Korea community.
Speaking at the program, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien acknowledged and highly appreciated the practical contributions of the VKBIA Association, outstanding in promoting investment, economic - trade cooperation, science - technology, education - training, cultural exchange, local cooperation, as well as supporting the Vietnamese community in Korea to integrate and develop sustainably.
Chairman Do Van Chien acknowledged and highly appreciated the VKBIA Association for always having many meaningful activities and programs towards the homeland, such as helping the country fight the COVID-19 pandemic and restore economic development, supporting people in localities affected by Typhoon Yagi or when people were affected by natural disasters and floods and many activities towards the sea and islands of the Fatherland... Those activities have contributed significantly and meaningfully to the great national unity.
Chairman Do Van Chien emphasized the role of VKBIA as an effective bridge between overseas Vietnamese and the Fatherland; and affirmed that the Vietnam Fatherland Front will continue to accompany and support community organizations to promote strengths, solidarity and sustainable development.
At the ceremony, the working group performed the ribbon cutting ceremony to open the Office of the Vietnam - Korea Exhibition Center and visited the space for displaying Vietnam - Ho Chi Minh culture, where images, documents, publications on Vietnamese history - culture, as well as typical products of the regions were introduced.
In particular, on the occasion of the 6th anniversary of its establishment, the VKBIA Association and the President of the VKBIA Association - Dr. Tran Hai Linh were honored to receive a Certificate of Merit from the Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for their outstanding achievements and outstanding contributions in connecting, promoting cooperation and investment between Vietnamese enterprises and Korean enterprises in the period of 2021-2025, supporting the Vietnamese community in Korea and spreading the image and position of the country and people of Vietnam in the international arena.
Also within the framework of the visit and work in Korea, on July 31 and August 1, Chairman Do Van Chien and the High-ranking Delegation of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front worked with Chairman of the Korean Economic, Social and Labor Council Kwon Gi Seop; Vice Chairman of the Korea-Vietnam Friendship Association Lee Sang Seok; Chairman of the Korea-Vietnam Cultural Economic Exchange Association Kwon Seong Taek.
At meetings with Chairman Do Van Chien and the delegation, leaders of associations and South Korean politicians all expressed their respect for Vietnam and hoped to continue to deepen bilateral relations in all fields.
