Recognize 22/34 localities with Deputy Provincial Party Secretaries and Chairmen of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee

The Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front has recognized 3,077 members of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of 34 provinces and cities.

On the afternoon of July 9, in Hanoi, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) held a Conference of Chairmen of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of provinces and cities (expanded) to promptly grasp, discuss, and propose solutions to overcome difficulties and obstacles, ensuring the Vietnam Fatherland Front system and socio-political organizations after the arrangement of effective, efficient and efficient activities in the coming time.

Concluding the conference, Mr. Do Van Chien - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Central organizations, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front welcomed and highly appreciated the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of provinces and cities for advising Party committees to implement the conclusions of the Central Executive Committee, Politburo, Secretariat on streamlining the organizational apparatus of the Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations and mass organizations assigned by the Party and State to operate smoothly and effectively.

Referring to the feeling of honor and pride in working at the historic moment of the country and the nation when entering the new era, Mr. Do Van Chien stated that in that general feeling, each Front officer needs to make more efforts and dedication to create a breakthrough in implementing the task.

In that spirit, the Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front suggested that the Front system at all levels continue to gather, propagate, mobilize, and persuade businesses and people of all walks of life to boost production and business to achieve the growth target of 8% in 2025; determined to complete the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide before August 31, 2025.

Mr. Do Van Chien also requested the provincial and municipal Front to carry out their tasks and prepare conditions for the successful election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026-2031 term; at the same time, according to their functions and tasks, participate in contributing to the content of documents of the Party Congresses at all levels and the 14th National Party Congress; prepare conditions to successfully organize the Congresses of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations at all levels towards the National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2026-2031 term.

Although there is a lot of work, if we are dedicated, sincere and united and unanimously agree under the roof of the Front, we are sure that the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations will fulfill the mission assigned by the Party, State and people, Mr. Do Van Chien emphasized.

At the conference, Mr. Do Van Chien said that in a period of 8 months, from October 2024 to June 2025, under the leadership of the Central Executive Committee, the Politburo, the Secretariat, headed and directly directed by General Secretary To Lam, our country and people have entered a historic turning point of "rearranging the rainbow", perfecting the organization of the political system, building a 2-level government with 34 provinces, cities and 3,321 wards, communes, and special zones, creating new momentum, new space for the development of the country and localities.

In line with that spirit, the Vietnam Fatherland Front has also reorganized its operating model such as: Establishing the Vietnam Fatherland Front Party Committee and Central organizations, this is one of 6 Party Committees under the Politburo and the Central Party Executive Committee. Currently, the Party Committee has 25 grassroots party organizations with more than 5,000 party members.

Also according to Mr. Do Van Chien, implementing the conclusions of the Central Committee and reorganizing the Vietnam Fatherland Front apparatus, socio-political organizations, and mass organizations assigned by the Party and the State, the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front has proactively coordinated with member organizations to develop plans and review the organizational structure of the apparatus.

As a result, by the end of February 2025, the payroll has been reorganized and streamlined from 284 units to 159 units, down 55.98%; from 2,720 positions to 2,185 positions, down 19.67%. As of June 30, 2025, the current number of staff of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Central Committee of political organizations - communes is 986 people, reduced from 36 departments and professional units under 5 agencies, currently there are 19 departments and units under the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

To carry out this task, under the direction of the Politburo and the National Assembly Standing Committee, the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front chaired the participation in amending the 2013 Constitution, amending the Law on the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Law on Trade Unions, the Law on Youth and the Law on implementing democracy at the grassroots level.

"Up to this point, there is sufficient political and legal basis and practical basis for the apparatus to come into operation from July 1, 2025. The Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front has also issued Decisions to establish Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of provinces and cities after the arrangement and consolidation; recognized 3,077 members of the Committees of 34 provinces and cities; recognized 327 members of the Standing Committees of 34 provinces and cities; recognized the Chairman position for 33/34 provinces and cities (inadequate personnel of Quang Tri province); recognized 22/34 localities with Deputy Secretaries of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairmen of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee. In addition, comrades who are Permanent Vice Chairmen of the Provincial and Municipal Fatherland Front Committees and members of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Mr. Do Van Chien informed and said that according to reports from localities, up to now, 34/34 provinces and cities have completed the arrangement of advisory and support agencies of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at the provincial and municipal levels to gradually stabilize and become operational.
