On March 4, in Phu Quoi commune, Vinh Long province, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province organized a meeting between voters and candidates for the 16th National Assembly, constituency No. 1, with the participation of about 200 voters.
At the conference, candidates presented action programs if trusted to be elected as National Assembly deputies. The content focused on perfecting laws, socio-economic development, improving the quality of education and strengthening corruption prevention and control.
After presenting the action program of the candidates, voter Bui Van Phung, Phu Quoi commune, highly agreed with the action program presented by the candidates. According to him, the contents on perfecting the law and preventing and combating corruption need to be implemented drastically and effectively.
We hope that when delegates are elected, they must keep their promises to voters, regularly contact, listen and truthfully reflect the opinions of the people," Mr. Phung added.
The majority of voters attending the conference also agreed with the proposed contents, saying that the basic action program is suitable for the actual situation of the locality. Many opinions wished that the commitments would soon be concretized by practical actions.

Mr. Ho Thanh Tuan - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee, Director of the Department of Justice - representing candidates, fully received and recorded the voters' contributions.
According to Mr. Tuan, the voter contact conference is an important opportunity for candidates to listen to the thoughts and legitimate aspirations of the people. The contacts are organized according to a consultation plan, completed before the election day, ensuring compliance with legal regulations.
Voter contact conferences are organized by the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Long province in coordination with the Provincial Election Commission from February 2 to 7. 3. This is an opportunity for 30 candidates in 6 directly elected units to present their action programs to voters.
Through the meetings, voters have more basis to assess the capacity, experience and work orientation of each candidate. On that basis, voters consider and choose to elect 18 delegates to the 16th National Assembly of Vietnam in accordance with regulations.
