On March 3, in Nhi Long commune, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Long province organized a meeting between voters and candidates for the 16th National Assembly of Vietnam, constituency No. 3, with nearly 200 voters attending.
At the meeting, representatives of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee approved the summary biographies of the candidates for voters to follow and study. The candidates presented an action program, clearly stating their goals and work orientations if they are trusted by voters to be elected as delegates to the 16th National Assembly of Vietnam.

Ms. Mai Thi Hieu (Nhi Long commune) expressed her trust and expectations for the candidates. She said she respected the action program that had been discussed and hoped that the elected delegate would properly implement the contents committed to voters.
According to Ms. Hieu, what people are concerned about is that delegates maintain close contact with the locality, promptly reflecting their thoughts and aspirations. "We hope today's promises will be fulfilled with specific actions," Ms. Hieu added.
Mr. Nguyen Van Hai raised opinions related to education, health and economy. He proposed to pay attention to policies to support people with cancer and critical illnesses; expand the target group of students to be able to borrow capital with preferential policies.
According to Mr. Hai, the work of gratitude and caring for people with meritorious services needs to continue to be properly concerned. He believes that it is necessary to improve the quality of grassroots healthcare, reduce treatment costs so that people can feel secure in medical examination and treatment.
Mr. Nguyen Van Luc (Nhi Long commune) proposed to supplement policies so that retired officials can enjoy additional elderly benefits when they reach 75 years old; and at the same time proposed to pay attention to upgrading roads and bridges and developing social housing for low-income people.
In addition, Mr. Luc entrusted to considering the conditions for high school students to participate in the entrance exam to the police industry. According to him, it is necessary to provide specific guidance, ensure fairness, and create opportunities for students to be qualified to pursue careers.

Representing the candidates, Ms. Thach Thi Thu Ha - Provincial Party Committee Member, Director of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions of Vinh Long province - acknowledged the practical opinions. She said she would fully summarize and propose to the provincial functional agencies for consideration and satisfactory resolution.
According to Ms. Ha, meeting with voters is an important opportunity for candidates to understand the local situation and complete the action program. She committed to seriously implementing the contents discussed if trusted by voters.
Voter meetings organized by the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Long province in coordination with the Provincial Election Commission from July 2 to March 3, creating conditions for 30 candidates in 6 constituencies to present action programs. Through conferences, voters have more information about the capacity, experience, and work orientation of each candidate, thereby considering and selecting 18 National Assembly deputies of the 16th term of Vietnam.
